National Geographic Traveller (UK) presents a new Photography Masterclass

Steve DaveyLONDON (10 November) 鈥 National Geographic Traveller (UK) is hosting its new Photography Masterclass at theprintspace detailing how to take the perfect photographic portrait while travelling. Led by professional photographer Steve Davey, it will cover some of the key techniques for approaching and interacting with potential subjects, as well as how to take great street images.

The event is being hosted as part of the National Geographic Traveller Photography Competition 2016, in which our readers have the chance to win a commission to shoot for the magazine.

Pat Riddell, editor of National Geographic Traveller (UK), said, 鈥淭his is our first standalone Photography Masterclass and we鈥檙e pleased to be working with both theprintspace and Steve Davey. How do you create that 鈥榶ou-are-there鈥 feeling when meeting people? This will give an insight into interacting with your subjects to improve and develop your photography skills and make great photographs true to our ethos.鈥

Steve Davey
Steve Davey is a photographer and writer whose work has been published in magazines and newspapers all over the world. He鈥檚 the author and principal photographer of Unforgettable Places to See Before You Die and Unforgettable Islands to Escape to Before You Die 鈥 both published by BBC Books. Steve has recently authored Around the World in 500 Festivals and a second edition of Footprint Travel Photography.
