Finalists of the National Geographic Traveller (UK) Photography Competition 2015
Winner to be announced at the Telegraph Outdoor Adventure & Travel Show on 14 February
LONDON (09 FEBRUARY 2015) 鈥 National Geographic Traveller (UK) has confirmed the finalists of its fourth Photography Competition 2015. The grand-prize winner will be announced at the Telegraph Outdoor Adventure & Travel Show on 14 February, and for the first time ever, the shortlisted entries are available to buy through a unique collaboration with .
As a leader in breathtaking, you-are-there photography, National Geographic Traveller launched its annual photo competition last September, sponsored by theprintspace, Viking River Cruises, Foto Ruta and Tatra Photography.
UK photographers submitted their entries in one of six categories: Action, Animal, People, River, Rural, and Urban.
Pat Riddell, Editor, National Geographic Traveller said: 鈥淲e鈥檝e been incredibly impressed with the response to our annual Photography Competition, with a phenomenally high standard of creativity and photographic quality.鈥
The winner will be announced at the Telegraph Outdoor Adventure & Travel Show at London鈥檚 Excel at 2.30pm on 14 February. They will win the grand prize sponsored by of a wildlife photography tour for two in the Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya.
All six category winners have won a year鈥檚 subscription to National Geographic Traveller and a place each on 鈥檚 flagship photography excursion Foto Ruta Clue.

The winning photos can also be seen in a free photography supplement with the April 2015 issue of National Geographic Traveller (UK), on sale 5 March 2015, priced 拢3.95.
We鈥檝e also teamed up with to offer the shortlisted shots in a National Geographic Traveller (UK) library on their service, thehub, a customised online art store where the prints are available to buy for the first time. The shortlist will also be exhibited at London鈥檚 theprintspace from 20 February until 4 March, Monday to Friday.

The independent judging panel consisted of Carol Enquist, National Geographic鈥檚 senior photo editor; Simon Stafford, professional photographer who runs Tatra Photography鈥檚 Masai Mara package; Kaley Sweeney, editor, The Magazine of the World Photography Organisation; Wendy Atkin-Smith, managing director Viking Cruises UK; and Duncan Longden, a photographer and regular contributor to National Geographic Traveller (UK). Chris Hudson, National Geographic Traveller (UK)鈥檚 art editor, devised the shortlist and made the final decision on the winner.
